Amy Dunne is the fictional antagonist of the book Gone Girl. In the story, Amy weaponizes societal narratives surrounding female victimhood in order to punish the men in her life. This looks like framing them for sexual assault, abuse, and murder. The men she punishes have often wronged her, usually in ways that are a result of patriarchal socialization (cheating on her with a younger woman, objectifying her, weaponizing incompetence).
